South Pacific Custom Travel, Inc. is a dream come true for my wife Susan and me. We first traveled to Fiji over six years ago on a family trip of a lifetime where we had planned a double renewal of vows ceremony. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary and our brother and sister in law were celebrating their own 25th. The vow renewal was a full wedding ceremony at a spectacular private island resort. There and then began our love affair with the South Pacific. The entire trip, from beginning to end was such an impactful experience, we felt sure in our hearts that our destiny was to become intricately involved in sharing this wonderful part of the world with as many people as we could. With a Leap of Faith, we both embarked on new careers working as independent travel consultants for an industry travel wholesale company where we committed to learn travel to the South Pacific inside and out. After five years of selling travel packages and touring the South Pacific region to experience the resorts and culture, we have realized our dream. | One of things I have enjoyed most in life, is traveling. I have always found a thrill in the journey to new places, as well as in the people of other cultures. Through the years I have had the opportunity to visit many wonderful places on this Earth. The United Kingdom, Russia, Italy, and France were my first countries experienced. I then began to travel to warmer tropical climates including the Bahamas and Caribbean, Mexico, Belize, and the Cayman islands. At this point in my travels, I realized that learning to scuba dive was the next step in getting closer to see the wonders of the underwater world. Getting certified has made scuba diving an integral part to every trip I take. Fiji, the soft coral capital of the world, is a place that all divers should experience. I have dove the Fijian waters and other south pacific destinations and love to share my experiences with dive enthusiasts. Prior to going into the travel business Sue and I worked at the Walt Disney Company for more than a decade where we had many great and diverse experiences. Our commitment to excellent service and our exposure to resorts and entertainment during these years allowed each of us to receive the coveted "Partners in Excellence" awards while at Walt Disney World. We have found that that training has helped us to better plan our clients travels, and to make their experience with us one of efficiency and trust. Sue and I both would like to share our experience. Working with people to assist them in creating an experience they will treasure for life is one of the most fulfilling careers I've had. Having had the opportunity to visit this spectacular region of the world has been an amazing blessing in my life and one of the most enriching experiences as well. The beauty of the south pacific alone takes your breath away, but it is the people and their unassuming culture that changes your heart, and leaves an impression forever. One so significant that you know you must return one day. My husband Charles and I worked for the Walt Disney Company in Orlando for ten years, acquiring management training and administrative experience from one of the true known leaders in the world in the areas of service and excellence. The emphasis on going beyond the client's expectation and helping them to create an experience of a lifetime was truly the core of the company, and a priceless life lesson of which we strive to continue in our own travel company. My experience also includes working as a bridal consultant for years and that passion for the romance side of travel enhances our wedding and honeymooner packages and destinations! We love assisting couples to find the perfect spot to spend their special, first days as a married couple. Some lucky couples choose this gorgeous setting for their destination wedding!
